working father
according to the Bureau of National Affairs, fathers still define themselves primarily as providers and continue to face traditional pressure to be good workers, but they are increasingly torn between work and family, wanting to connect with their children in stronger ways than their own fathers did. In one study, 50 % of fathers and 56 % of mothers reported difficulty in balancing work and family. Men often keep quiet about their family interests because of workplace attitudes, but fear of reproducing their fathers' absence and detachment sets up conflicts for them as they move through their careers.
