WMC Unspinning the Spin

little shaver

although the origins of this expression may not be as masculine as they sound ("shaver" deriving perhaps from the chip-off-the-old-block kind of shaving rather than from whisker shaving), the term is defined either as a youngster or as a boy and it is perceived as masculine; girls were usually "little dolls." For inclusive alternatives consider youngster, child, tyke.
