transsexual (adj.)
transgender person/individual. Once the main descriptor for someone seeking treatment for gender dysphoria (distress in people whose gender identity differs fromtheir sex assigned at birth or sex-related physical characteristics), "transsexual" is now a more niche and intra-community term. Some consider it outdated, occasionally misleading, and offensive. Use it only when people use it for themselves. See transgender.
