Jewish question
Sanford Berman (Prejudices and Antipathies ) writes, "On the face of it, 'Jewish Question' may seem a bland, neutral term. Yet it is just the opposite, masquerading ruthlessness and inhumanity—the age-old and altogether vicious practice of scapegoating—in a deceptive, leisurely abstraction. The 'question' facing the soon-to-be-incinerated millions was not one to be calmly debated. It was fundamental: life or death." He says that Joseph Goebbels predicted in 1938, "The Jewish question will in a short time find a solution satisfying the sentiment of the German people." See also final solution.
