Holy Spirit (Ghost)/he
eliminate masculine pronouns for the Holy Spirit, replacing them with descriptive adjectives, or, in prayer, with direct address ("you" and "your"). The Hebrew ruah or ruach, meaning "wind, breath, spirit," is grammatically feminine, and the Greek word for "spirit," pneuma, is neuter, which is why some writers and speakers refer to the Holy Spirit as "she" or "it." However, the most theologically and linguistically correct approach is to eliminate gender-specific pronouns.
