"Freshman" has been eliminated from the Yale Daily News, also from The Yale; Harvard refers to "first years"; Wesleyan uses "frosh," Princeton says "first-year students" is now the norm; "freshfolk" is used on the Oberlin campus; Cornell uses "Class of [year]."
