Soraya Kishtwari is a freelance journalist based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She is interested in telling stories that go beyond the headlines. She writes about a variety of topics, including women's issues, human rights and geopolitics. Prior to moving to Vietnam, she spent three years in Democratic Republic of Congo, where she worked on www.mamacongo.org, a photojournalism project featuring portraits and testimonies of Congolese women (she plans to return to finish it off, as soon as the COVID Gods allow).
