Hana Assafiri is a feminist, activist, restauranteur, and force of nature behind Speed Date a Muslim, an event held at a Melbourne cafe. Visitors are invited to sit across from Muslim women and ask questions about Islam, creating a forum for confronting fear, opening conversations and breaking down stereotypes while breaking bread. Assafiri was inducted to the Victorian Honour Roll of Women in 2017.
