Elena Gagovska is a freelance writer and activist currently based in Skopje, North Macedonia. Her main journalistic interests are left-wing politics, LGBTQ rights, and feminism. She has published pieces in English speaking mediums, such as Jacobin magazine and Summer of Solidarity, and is a regular contributor to Meduza, the leading Macedonian feminist publication.
