America Ferrera is an Oscar® -nominated and Emmy® -, Golden Globe®- and Screen Actors Guild Award-winning actress, director, producer, and activist. Most recently, Ferrera starred as Gloria in the record-breaking Barbie, for which she garnered an Academy Award nomination. Ferrera is beloved by audiences for her multiple iconic roles in Ugly Betty, The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants, Superstore, Real Women Have Curves And How To Train Your Dragon.
A longtime activist, Ferrera co-founded Harness, a community of artists, influencers, and grassroots leaders leveraging art and storytelling to power change, and co-leads Poderistas, a digital lifestyle community and non-profit organization, built to celebrate Latina culture and harness the power of community. In May 2024, Ferrera was appointed as a Global Goodwill Ambassador for the UN’s International Organization for Migration (IOM), through which she will continue championing safe migration, women’s rights, and civic engagement.
