With Syria's war taking the lives of women at an average rate of 9 percent across the country, I spoke to CNN International's Hala Gorani about the terrible price women and children are paying as noncombatants. Why do women make up 40 percent of killings in a place like Homs? Why are they dying at twice the rate of men in bombings? And what does the unending killing and rape of civilians mean for the future of Syria?
