The Women’s Media Center is delighted to announce the eighth season of the award-winning podcast “WMC Live with Robin Morgan,” a weekly program with a listenership in 112 countries around the world. The season premiere features an intimate conversation with Women’s Media Center co-founder Gloria Steinem about her new book, The Truth Will Set You Free, But First It Will Piss You Off. Morgan’s commentaries this week target digital assistants, tactics to fight ageism, what’s really inside the headlines, “female Viagra”, and mosquitos. WMC Live with Robin Morgan is available via all major podcast platforms and at wmclive.com.

“This season we’re breaking precedent and records,” Morgan says, “with guests who will surprise everyone—plus heading into an election year! So buckle your seatbelts and tune in!”

The eighth season of WMC Live with Robin Morgan follows the show winning first place at the National Women’s Political Caucus’ 2019 EMMAs Exceptional Merit in Media Awards, which highlight the importance of the media in the creation and maintenance of public attitude towards women - their leadership and special concerns. Morgan’s show is described as ”a comprehensive, no nonsense and important voice for women and the issues they are facing to find equal footing in what is still a man’s world, especially in the days of Trump.”

Women’s Center Live with Robin Morgan launched in August 2012 and new episodes are posted every Sunday. It is produced and hosted by Robin Morgan, the award-winning author of over 23 books, political analyst, former editor in chief of Ms. Magazine, and, in 2005, co-founder - with Jane Fonda and Gloria Steinem – of The Women’s Media Center. WMC Live with Robin Morgan has been described as “talk radio with a brain” not only because of its world-class host, but because of its world class guests. Former guests include: Congresswoman Maxine Waters, Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, April Ryan, Jane Fonda, Ellen Pao, Sally Field, Maria Teresa Kumar, Margaret Sullivan, Saru Jayaraman, President Carter, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal.

The Women’s Media Center is an inclusive and feminist organization that works to raise the visibility, viability and decision-making power of women and girls in media to ensure that their stories get told and their voices are heard. We do this by researching and monitoring media; creating and modeling original online, print and podcast content; training women and girls to be effective in media; and promoting women experts in all fields.
