Bio:

Yasmeen Hassan is a human rights lawyer who served as the Global Executive Director, a human rights organization focused on equality for women and girls (2008-2023). She is a native of Pakistan and has been involved in women’s rights since very early in her career, authoring the first study of domestic violence in Pakistan, which ultimately became the country’s submission to the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing in 1995.

Yasmeen Hassan is a WMC SheSource expert on Pakistan, international issues, and social justice.
