Megan Janetsky is a Colombia-based freelance journalist covering Venezuela, immigration, human rights and all things Latin America. Previously, she reported on the U.S.-Mexico border, in Washington D.C. and in her home in Phoenix, Arizona.
Her work has been featured by VICE, USA Today, Foreign Policy, BBC World Service, C-SPAN, Poynter, POLITICO, HuffPost, ThinkProgress, TruthOut, Refinery29 and more. She is also a 2019 Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting grantee.
