Katelyn Buckles
Bio:
Katelyn Buckles is a J.D. Candidate at American University’s Washington College of Law and an M.A. Candidate at American’s School of International Service. She has supported gender justice advocacy for the Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, PEARL, and Global Justice Center.
In October, the United Nations Committee Against Torture issued a final decision in Elizabeth Coppin v. Ireland that once again dashed hopes of justice for survivors of one of Ireland’s worst regimes of torture and abuse.
