Photos: Women’s Marchers put their anger at Trump on full display

Thousands of women repped the resistance front and center at the fourth annual Women’s March taking place in cities across the U.S. on Saturday. From hoisting protest signs outside Trump International Hotel in Manhattan to going all-out with massive banners at the main march in Washington, women’s anger and frustration at President Donald Trump and his anti-equality, anti-reproductive rights, and anti-immigration stances were palpable—and writ large.

A number of signs featured Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, including one that fashioned her as Rosie the Riveter saying “Resist.” One New York sign had Nancy Pelosi pictured between the words “Women’s Work.” And, because women are sick of even the most basic violations of their rights and power, one sign read: “You should [smile] run for office more” with "smile" crossed out.

The stated mission of the march is to “harness the political power of diverse women and their communities to create transformative social change. Women’s March is a women-led movement providing intersectional education on a diverse range of issues and creating entry points for new grassroots activists & organizers to engage in their local communities through trainings, outreach programs and events. Women’s March is committed to dismantling systems of oppression through nonviolent resistance and building inclusive structures guided by self-determination, dignity and respect.”
