Tasty Tunes

So...I haven't really posted this week. My bad - mucho obligatory work to do.

Anyway, since I didn't have time to write anything of substance I've decided to do a shout out of sorts to all the bands on the recent AP Tour (went to it Saturday- CLEVELAND HOUSE OF BLUES- absolutely insane). AP Magazine, who sponsored the tour, is also from Cleveland, so I gotta throw them some love as well.

First up- A Rocket to the Moon with Dakota:

I found a video from the concert I was at but quality blowed. Sad. But great song.

Hit the Lights was there. I don't really enjoy Hit the Lights. Not gonna post on that.

Because.

The Maine was there. And The Maine is possibly my favorite band.

Seriously my friends and I have had multiple conversations that dissect every aspect of this band you could possibly think of, have acknowledged that we're all freaky creeps and if The Maine were to know of our stalker-esque behaviors would immediately denounce us and procure restraining orders. We have ultimately reached the conclusion that we don't care, our love is undying, and it is our  money spent on CDs and merch that provides them their livelihood so we're perfectly entitled to adore in a way that is borderline obsessive.

Here is Everything I Ask For:

One of the best parts: all band members are extremely attractive. Also lyrics are all positive, none objectifying women, which is always a huge plus in my book.

And it's not just a band for teen girls. There were some enthusiastic guys at the concert I was at. Like...the guy that was easily a foot taller than me but still decided to jump on top of me to get to John Oh (lead singer). Same with the guy that broke my friend's finger to get Pat (the drummer)'s drumsticks. Moral of the story? Fangirls (and guys...) are scary.

Family Force Five, anyone? A little different than the previous bands...still sick.

10.0 on the richter SCAYLE shake it like an earthquake move that TAYLE! haha love.

And last but not least...3OH!3. My friend Aly seriously want all out to this band. I think she injured a few people in the formation of her interpretative dance moves.

I'm Not Your Boyfriend Baby

I love that in a lot of ways I feel like they're making fun of popular rap.

Alright THERE YOU HAVE IT. Go buy their music (yeah...buy...seriously). I'm trying to get my friend Hannah to do a regular post about music as she's sort of a musical goddess. Maybe this will motivate her as I'm sure she has about a million amendments to what I've already written.

Also throw some suggestions my way, I'm always open to new music. Music is the common teenage experience, after all (not the same music...just the liking it.)
