WMC About
WMC IDAR/E

Inspired by the journalist and activist Jovita Idar, WMC’s IDAR/E provides a platform for original opinions and articles in both English and Spanish by progressive Latinas. IDAR/E offers truth-telling by Latinas across generations who are shaping thought, communities and movements from the United States to Latin America.

With Latinx women largely unseen on op-ed pages, Sunday talk shows, or as directors and producers, WMC IDAR/E creates space for Latinas to contribute their analysis and experiences on a range of issues and let the rest of us know where critical pieces are missing in national and international conversations. Latinas here are challenging power structures, racism, colonialism, misogyny, policing, media narratives, and the way we see ourselves and our ability to propel change.
