This week's WMC SheSource highlights experts to talk about the car bomb in Turkey that killed 37 people, the increasing violence at Donald Trump rallies, Representative Clark's upcoming legislation on online harassment, Women's History Month and the bipartisan Congressional Civil Rights Pilgrimage to South Carolina taking place later this week.
To discuss Sunday's car bombing in Turkey that killed 37 people, we SPOTLIGHT Christina Bache Fidan. Bache Fidan has more than 15 years’ experience working on human development, human security, conflict resolution and peacebuilding. She is currently a Research Fellow with the Center for International and European Studies (CIES), located at Kadir Has University, based in Istanbul, Turkey. Christina has written numerous foreign policy, conflict resolution and peacebuilding related articles and reports in her capacity as a doctoral student and an international consultant. She has presented her doctoral research at international conferences and regularly provides analysis of developments in Turkey and the Middle East to academic and policy-oriented groups.

As violence at rallies in support of Donald Trump escalates, we FEATURE Professor Susan Estrich. Professor Estrich's scholarly interests are in law and politics, criminal law, and gender discrimination and she teaches at USC Law. She has been actively involved in Democratic presidential politics, serving as national campaign manager of the Dukakis-Bentsen campaign in 1988. To discuss Representative Clark’s soon-to-be-introduced legislation to provide State and local law enforcement with resources to train, enforce, and prosecute cybercrimes against individuals, we FEATURE Soraya Chemaly. Chemaly is a writer and activist whose work focuses on the role of gender in culture, politics, religion and media. She is the Director of the Women's Media Center Speech Project and organizer of the Safety and Free Speech Coalition, both of which are involved in curbing online abuse, media and tech diversity, and expanding women's freedom of expression.
