Kellogg Foundation in Battle Creek, Michigan. As a member of the Food, Health & Well-Being team, Derige is responsible for leadership and vision in program conceptualization, design, planning, management, coordination, communication, evaluation, policy and learning of a national portfolio. Prior to joining the foundation in 2010, Derige worked for more than 10 years in public health, public policy, advocacy and community-based philanthropy.

She has over 20 years of experience in technology and new media, including policy, politics and social good. She founded the Center for Technology, Media & Society, based in Silicon Valley, dedicated to educating, informing and connecting stakeholders around converging topics like transparent e-government, high-tech workplace flexibility, and gender bias online. She also is a Fellow at the Truman National Security Project and co-chairs their cybersecurity expert group.

She is a freelance writer and blogger from Sydney, Australia. She is based in New York City. Chloe is an Editor at Feministing, where she blogs about gender, sex, politics, pop culture and body image. Her freelance writing covers a range of topics, including sexual assault prevention, women in politics and reproductive rights. Chloe’s academic work focuses on Hollywood romantic comedies; her doctoral thesis, currently in progress, is about how the genre depicts gender, sex and love.
