Madeline Earp

Bio:

Madeline Earp is a freedom of expression expert and research analyst for Asia with Freedom House’s annual Freedom on the Net Internet freedom index. She collaborates with local researchers to assess Internet access, censorship, and violations of user rights in 15 countries across East, Southeast, and South Asia. Prior to joining Freedom House, she was the senior Asia program researcher at the Committee to Protect Journalists in New York. Earp has a master's in East Asian Studies from Harvard University, a bachelor's from Cambridge University, and studied Mandarin in China and Taiwan.
