Liz Olson
Bio:
Liz Olson is the communications and development associate at the Global Justice Center. Olson holds a B.A. from Reed College, where she studied history. Before working at the Global Justice Center, Olson was living in Beijing, China, where she interned at International Bridges to Justice, worked as an analyst at China Policy, and served as the international communications and development coordinator at the Shangri-la Institute for Sustainable Communities.
Ekhlas was 14 years old when Islamic State militants attacked the northern Iraqi city of Sinjar in August 2014. Her family tried to flee to nearby Mount Sinjar, but they never made it.
