'Women in the Global News Industry" event in recognition of World Press Freedom Day

The Secretary’s Office of Global Women’s Issues (S/GWI) at the U.S. Department of State hosted an event spotlighting the unique challenges faced by women in the news industry across the globe, with panel discussions focused on women journalists in exile and women media professionals. WMC Speech Project Director, Soraya Chemaly participated in a panel titled Women in the News Industry: Challenges and Opportunities.
