Tracy Fox has over 25 years of experience working at the federal, state and local/community levels as well as with non-profits and for-profits in the private sector, with extensive experience in nutrition policy, the legislative and regulatory process and advocacy. Her clients include/have included Federal, State and local agencies including the Department of Agriculture, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Federal Trade Commission, non-profit organizations including the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Partnership for a Healthier America, National Center for Physical Development and Outdoor Play, Nemours Foundation, Produce for Better Health Foundation, Action for Healthy Kids, public health departments and educational agencies, grocery store chains and public relations firms, where she provides advice and expertise on policy and nutrition initiatives. Areas of specialty include child nutrition, school health, nutrition education, early care and education, food labeling and marketing, federal, state and local nutrition policy, advocacy and government relations. She has presented and spoken at national, state and local venues across the country and is quoted and appears regularly in media outlets (print, radio and TV).
Ms. Fox is past President of the Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior and serves/served on numerous boards and committees including the Institute of Medicine (IOM School Foods Committee, IOM Childhood Obesity Prevention Actions for Local Governments, and IOM Front-of-Pack Labeling); Feeding America Nutrition Advisory Board; Guiding Stars Scientific Advisory Board; the DC Dietetic Association; Montgomery County School Health Council, PTA, the Boys and Girls Club of Culver Board Member, Max’s Playhouse Daycare Board Member.
Prior to forming her consulting company Ms. Fox was with the Government Relations office of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Department of Agriculture in the food and nutrition arena. Ms. Fox is married with two grown children and is a retired Commander in the US Navy Reserves.
