Bio

Solana Rice is the co-executive director of Liberation in a Generation (LibGen), working to build the power of people of color and totally transform the US economy. Prior to founding LibGen, Rice was the director of state & local policy at Prosperity Now. Her areas of expertise include grassroots organizing and economic justice, and she has been cited in The New York Times, CBS News, and Nonprofit Quarterly, among other publications. Rice currently serves as a Soros Equality Fellow for Open Society Foundations, and she holds a masters in city planning from MIT.
