Bio

Sarinya Srisakul has been serving NYC as a firefighter since 2005. She was the first woman firefighter of Asian descent in the FDNY and the first Asian American woman to hold the position of FDNY Lieutenant for the North Queens area.

Srisakul is the former President of the United Women Firefighters, a position she held for 6 years. She has been a dedicated member of the United Women Firefighters since the beginning of her career and held the positions of Secretary, Borough Representative and Vice President before becoming President.

As a lifelong activist, she is continuing her mission in creating social justice and gender equality through her work with the United Women Firefighters.
