Bio

PJ Jones is a survivor, author, and holistic trauma-informed life coach whose journey of resilience began before birth, shaped by generations of abuse. Born into a cycle of trauma, she endured severe physical abuse and emotional neglect as a child, never knowing true safety. Homeless as a teenager, she struggled to survive in a world that had already failed her. During this vulnerable time, she was trapped in an abusive relationship with a man seven years older, suffering further trauma at his hands.

After 12 years of torture and abuse, PJ finally freed herself from the man who trapped her. Just as she began to rebuild, she enrolled in college after six years free from abuse. Then, the devastating loss of her 19-year-old son shattered her once again—marking the true beginning of her healing journey. Refusing to let pain define her, PJ turned survival into purpose.

Now residing in Costa Rica, PJ is a Holistic Motivational Coach, Podcast Host, Event Organizer, Public Speaker, and Author of A Place to Belong. With decades of experience working with at-risk families, she founded Soulful Resilience Journey in 2024, offering coaching, workshops, and transformative events to help others reclaim their strength. She is the creator of the Fearless and Flourishing Women’s Summit and the Rise and Thrive: Empowered Voices Summit, platforms designed to amplify survivor voices and foster healing.

PJ has been featured in magazines such as Brainz Magazine, Wholistic Magazine, and Medium. She participated in the Cosmic Evolution Summit and will be a speaker at the Heal HER Summit this May, the Podcast Summit in July, and the Hear Us R.O.A.R. Summit, where she is also a featured author in their upcoming anthology by the same title.

She has also been a guest on multiple podcasts, including Bathrobe Moment with Dr. Loren Harris (streamed on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon TV, and more), Mission Accepted Podcast with Deb Drummond, and the Full Time Father Podcast—using each appearance as a stage for healing and to share her story of pain into purpose.

PJ also hosts the podcast Insights of a Survivor and runs the YouTube network Empowered Voices: Finding Strength in Survivors, where she provides a platform for courageous stories, discussions, and resources for healing. Through her book A Place to Belong, trauma-informed advocacy, and immersive retreats, she helps others re-frame their pain into power.

Why I Do This:

"I almost lost myself in the trauma I sustained because of the lack of knowledge and support I had. I don't ever want to see anyone else go through that. I want to do my part in shattering the silence."

"It is our duty to fight for our freedom.
It is our duty to win.
We must love each other and support each other.
We have nothing to lose but our chains." — Assata Shakur

This quote speaks to me on a deep level because it’s a reminder that healing isn’t just about surviving—it’s about fighting for freedom, for ourselves and each other. I know what it feels like to be trapped in pain, but I also know the power of resilience and community. We don’t have to carry our struggles alone. When we stand together, support each other, and refuse to stay silent, we create real change. That’s why I do this work—so no one has to fight alone.
