Society of Human Resource Management named Pegine Echevarria one of 100 Global Thought Leaders on Diversity and Inclusion. She is creator and founder of “White Guy Are Diverse Too!(TM)” a corporate training program based on a five year research project. She is author of “Sometimes You Need to Kick Your Own Butt”, Lighten Up and Lead: How to be Fun, Feisty, Focused, Fearless, Female Leader (2010 release date), and "For All Our Daughters: Mentoring Girls”.

In 2008 she was quoted in the Wall Street Journal, HR Magazine, Washington Post, New York Times, and BusinessWeek. Her work on females, minorities and mentoring was highlighted on NPR Fresh Air, CNN, MSNBC. She was the on air women and minorities in the workplace expert for NewsTalk. Pegine (Peg-een) is the one of 58 inductees into the Motivational Speakers Hall of Fame – the first Latina and one of eight women. Pegine holds a MSW in group and organizational behavior
