I'm a Communications Executive and Media Officer working at Cricket West Indies. In 2018 I became the first female in Cricket West Indies 93-year history to hold the position of Media Officer of the West Indies Senior Men's Team and I currently hold the same position for the West Indies Women's Cricket Team. Prior to this position, I was a Sports Journalist in my native Trinidad & Tobago.
Cricket is part of my identity as a West Indian and I relish the opportunity that I currently have to do the match reports, develop content and tell the stories of West Indies Cricket and our cricketers. I am a Muslim who wears the hijab so it's the first thing people see and then they realize that I work in the sports industry.
