Emily Kane Miller is a seasoned social good strategist and the Founder + CEO of Ethos Giving (www.ethos-giving), a cutting-edge social impact services firm. With deep experience in corporate and individual giving, Emily helps visionary leaders make their communities better, one excellent project at a time — from ideation to execution. Emily’s experience extends from philanthropic, in-kind and political contributions to employee engagement initiatives and supply chain management to values-aligned business development and impact investing. While the data and goals differ, all of the work Emily supports ladders back to KPIs and real outcomes. Today’s strategic good work is layered and multifaceted. We were missing a simple yet dynamic system to track, manage, and report on the work. I got tired of waiting for someone else to create this missing tool. So, I built it. Ethos Tracking (www.ethostracking) is the first-of-its-kind, one-stop data tracking and management platform built by social impact professionals for social impact professionals.
Before founding Ethos Giving, Emily served as Vice President of Philanthropy & Community Affairs at The Wonderful Company. Emily led the organization’s award-winning philanthropic efforts, which ranged from paradigm-changing, place-based work, to branded community giving programs, to transformative institutional contributions. She holds a BA from the University of California Los Angeles, and a JD from the University of Arizona School of Law. Emily lives in Los Angeles with her husband and their two children. Emily is a contributor to The Hill and CSQ, and regularly speaks as an expert on matters of social impact, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and philanthropy.
