As a pet lifestyle authority for nearly 20 years, Kristen Levine's skilled focus is America's love-affair with pets! A combination of dogged determination and an affinity for animals has led her on a journey of professional success in the pet arena. Kristen's vast knowledge and experience qualifies her as an expert on pet lifestyle trends and family-pet dynamics. As the president of Fetching Communications, a public relations company dedicated to the pet industry, Kristen can also speak to the impact family pets have on our society, economy and culture.

Like many of us, Kristen Levine developed an emotional connection with animals at an early age. Even as a child, she recognized the importance of making lifelong commitments to companion animals—she sensed our value to one another. Using the human-animal bond as her inspiration along with dogged determination, Kristen Levine turned her life passion into a journey of professional success.

Her drive to do something worthwhile led her to volunteer at an animal shelter. Her feel-good hobby quickly led to a full fifteen-year career as the Pubic Relations Director of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Tampa Bay, where she played a critical role in promoting pet adoption and pet lifestyle education. During those years, she worked hand-in-hand with veterinarians, trainers, animal welfare professionals, and most importantly—pet lovers!

Kristen’s vast knowledge of pet lifestyle concerns and family dynamics coupled with her understanding of public relations led her to found Fetching Communications in 2002. Her goal? To develop the nation’s first and only marketing and public relations firm wholly dedicated to today’s steadily growing pet marketplace. Her highly regarded experience and reputation as the “Great Dame” of Pet Lifestyle Professionals granted her the ability to communicate with the public, in various mediums, by highlighting the impact pets have on our lives. Her focus is America’s “love affair” with pets.

Today, Kristen is a popular columnist for NBC Universal and the Tampa Tribune, whose regular entries include topics on anything from American pet-culture to the latest pet toy trends. She has logged over 1,000 live television and radio appearances, including appearances on Good Morning America, Fox News, ABC News Radio and regular appearances on Fox 13 News in Tampa, Florida. Kristen is also a frequent contributor to pet and veterinary trade magazines.
