Kimberly Renee Selden is a content producer and educator whose credits include Oprah Behind the Scenes,The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and FX's Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell. In addition to her television work, she is founder of The Global Media Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to sharing global narratives and using communication as a catalyst for change.
Based in Brooklyn, New York, Kimberly has traveled around the world to develop and create provocative, compelling content on a variety of topics ranging from politics and education to music and culture. One of her most memorable experiences was traveling to the West African country of Niger on a volunteer mission to help start a local television and radio station. There, she worked with members of the community to create original programming and distribute solar powered radios to make information easily accessible.Her journey was profiled by The Huffington Post.
Through her nonprofit organization, Kimberly also offers training and workshops to introduce women and minorities to the field of digital media production. As she merges theory (teaching) and practice (creating), she strives to further human advancement by bridging the digital divide and closing the information gaps all over the world.
Most recently Kimberly served as a producer on the Hillary for America campaign and co-founded a production company called Freedomland Media to continue her work utilizing storytelling as a tool for activism.
