Bio

Katrina Strelow Soelter, CFP® works at KCS Wealth Advisory, LLC as Director, Wealth Management. She frequently speaks to groups and online, using her experiences as a former teacher to break down financial concepts for every audience. She started her career as an elementary school teacher, achieving her master’s degree while teaching 4th grade. Making a career switch to personal finance, she initially worked at Wells Fargo Advisors, pursuing and completing her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ® designation through the UCLA personal financial planning program simultaneously. Transitioning to KCS Wealth Advisory, LLC in the spring of 2019, she develops personal financial plans for her clients while managing the marketing department of the firm.

She has created and launched several events, including the Professional Women’s Speaker Series, which runs several weeks each year. She specializes in working with savvy professionals, particularly professional women, who are looking for warm, intelligent, unconditional support in their financial journey. She believes that it is life changing to feel in control and at peace with your finances and your future. She thinks financial empowerment is a gender equity issue and at the heart of intersectional feminism. Without competent, thoughtful voices and powerful, systemic change, women cannot be in control of their money, which spreads into every area of their lives.

Since joining KCS Wealth, she has been able to participate in media appearances. She has been quoted in articles with CNBC, Nerd Wallet, and Kiplinger, to name a few. She has also spoken for different audiences, including American Cancer Society, Teach for America, a large entertainment company, and Compsych.
