Justine Andronici is a feminist attorney, advocate, writer, trainer, and public commentator with more than 25 years of experience working at the intersection of gender justice, civil rights, survivor rights, institutional accountability, and social justice.
Her work focuses on gender-based violence, sexual abuse, domestic violence, sexual harassment, reproductive rights, survivor-centered accountability, and the role of law and public systems in shaping safety, dignity, and access to justice. Her career has centered on representing, supporting, and working alongside survivors of sexual assault, child sexual abuse, domestic violence, harassment, and discrimination.
Ms. Andronici’s civil legal practice has included sexual assault, child sexual abuse, domestic violence, Title IX, civil rights, and institutional accountability matters. She represented multiple survivors in civil matters arising from the Jerry Sandusky/Penn State University sexual abuse cases. She has also helped launch and strengthen community-based domestic violence and sexual assault legal services programs and has led projects involving legal systems, advocacy organizations, public institutions, and nonprofit partners.
She began her legal career as a Georgetown Law Women’s Law and Public Policy Fellow working on reproductive rights law and policy. Before law school, she worked as a grassroots organizer, project director, and communications director with the Feminist Majority Foundation in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. She has served in national and state leadership roles, including on the National Board of the National Organization for Women and developed and taught courses on gender and Constitutional law.
Ms. Andronici is a contributing writer and former advisory board member for Ms. Magazine. Her recent writing addresses gender-based violence, survivor-led accountability, institutional failure, legal reform, and the systems that protect powerful perpetrators from accountability.
She earned her J.D. cum laude and Order of the Coif from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and her B.A. cum laude from Colgate University with honors in political science. She is admitted to the bar in Pennsylvania and Maryland, with inactive/good-standing admissions in Washington, D.C. and Massachusetts.
She lives and works from rural Central Pennsylvania, bringing a grounded understanding of national advocacy, legal systems, rural communities, gender politics, and the realities of survivors navigating complex institutions.
