Jessica Tunon is a social impact leader and founder and CEO of Netwalking® LLC. For more than 20 years’, she has helped companies budget, spot inefficiencies and find opportunities for operations to be streamlined and improved for organizations at the headquarters of such leading companies as Franklin Templeton Investments, Whole Foods, Office Depot, Ashoka, and MITRE. Prior to Netwalking®, Jessica co-founded Beyond2ndNature in Austin, Texas organizing an America Walks Walkability Workshop led to the creation of the first standing Pedestrian Advisory Council in Austin, the coalition WalkAustin, and co-organized Austin’s first World Car Free Day. She has presented on the topics of Walkability, Social Entrepreneurship, and Women Empowerment at South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive, SXSW V2V, GoodxGlobal, The Swedish Institute, Latina Entrepreneur Academy, The Walking Summit and other events focused on social impact, green solutions, and women empowerment.
In 2014, co-created a promising idea called ElectroRest and became a winning finalist at the Smart Living Challenge, an ongoing platform to make daily life more sustainable in Sweden. Jessica holds a certificate in Walkable Urban Real Estate Development & Place Management from George Washington University and B.A. in Business Management from Lynn University.
In addition, she is a Commissioner with the Mayor’s Office on Women’s Policy and Initiatives, SheSource Expert, Fitfluential Ambassador, Industry Advisory Board Member with the DC Career Academy Network, and her advocacy work include Social Good Summit + Austin, Pitch Black 2018, CEO Pledge for Physical Activity Committee Member promoted by the National Coalition for Promoting Physical Activity (NCPPA) and from 2014 – June 2017 at-large member with DC Pedestrian Advisory Council.
