Jennifer Laszlo Mizrahi is president of RespectAbilityUSA, a non-profit organization working to enable people with disabilities to achieve the American dream. In that capacity Mizrahi has met with the majority of Governors, many future Presidential candidates, Hollywood celebrities, major employers, philanthropists and others to expand job and other opportunities for people with disabilities. She has also led numerous national polls and brought significant visibility to the issues of America’s 56 million citizens with disabilities.
Mizrahi served as founder & president of Laszlo Strategies. She has done projects with the White House, more than 60 U.S. Senators, and has helped elect Prime Ministers and Presidents around the world. Mizrahi is an expert in strategic communications, political strategy, and on numerous public policies including international relations. She has published more than 300 columns/opeds on policy and politics, produced numerous videos, and has been interviewed hundreds of times on national television including on CNN, MSNBC, FOX and others.
A former spokesperson for the Democratic National Committee during the Clinton Administration, Mizrahi became “post-partisan” after 9/11 when she turned her work for a decade to “winning hearts and minds” on issues of terrorism and Middle East peace. Mizrahi founded The Israel Project (TIP) and led it for a decade. She has been to the Middle East dozens of times to work with leaders, and has worked with Ambassadors from 85 different nations.
Mizrahi previously was political and training director for Campaigns & Elections magazine, Chief of Staff to Congressman David Skagg’s winning campaign, a member of the Clinton/Gore team, Founder of the District of Columbia Jewish Community Center’s award winning community services program and public policy programs, and a regular columnist for The Daily Record.
The co-founder/director of The Mizrahi Family Charitable foundation, over the years Mizrahi has raised tens of millions of dollars for various charities and political causes. She chaired her local UJA campaign for a decade, and has served on numerous boards including the International Association of Political Consultants, NJDC, DC/JCC, UJAYL Cabinet, JIP, TIP, March of the Living and more. The Forward newspaper named Mizrahi the second most influential Jew in America; she has three times been named to their list as one of the 50 most influential Jews in North America.
A graduate of Emory, Mizrahi also studied at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, L’Institute Catholic in Paris and successfully completed further work on performance metrics at Harvard. She overcame dyslexia, spent much or her senior year of college in a wheelchair due to a car accident, knows the joy and challenge of parenting a child with disabilities, and is a passionate advocate for the rights of people with disabilities.
