Jennifer is the creator and executive producer of the Chasing Grace Project, one of the most visible platforms in the tech industry exclusively dedicated to elevating women’s voices and advancing a constructive narrative about inclusivity. It aims to recruit and retain women for an industry that desperately needs their contribution and to give women a platform to be seen and heard for their experiences. When women share their stories on camera, they are empowered. And when others see those stories at screenings around the world, there is a collective epiphany that drives a reverberation throughout the industry. With fewer women in tech than 30 years ago, the time is now to elevate women’s voices and experiences in an industry that is building the future today.
Cloer is also co-founder and CEO of reTHINKit Media, a communications consulting and content production firm that inspires new ways of thinking, sparks action and affects change for companies and organizations that are redefining the future. As a founding team member of the technology industry’s most respected consortium, the Linux Foundation, her career has been dedicated to telling the stories that have defined a generation of technologists.
For more than 17 years, Jennifer has been a woman in tech and has been recognized for her storytelling acumen by BusinessInsider, who ranked her among the best PR people in tech for her video storytelling works. She was most recently VP of communications at The Linux Foundation, where she oversaw brand storytelling and team of PR, social media and video production professionals. Prior to that, she was vice president at Page One PR and held posts both in house and at agency in communications. In addition to her BusinessInsider recognition, CIO.com identified her as one of the most influential women in open source. She is regularly quoted in publications such as Forbes, TechCrunch, BusinessInsider, TechTarget and more. She also pens a regular blog on Medium and a column on CIO.com.
