Jenna F Beacom

Jenna Beacom has over 25 years of experience in the fields of deaf advocacy, deaf education, and media criticism. She became deaf as a teenager, which affords her an unusual perspective and ability to bridge the deaf and the hearing worlds. She has worked for all of the Big Five publishers as a sensitivity reader, and is the co-founder of #DeafInMedia (www.deafinmedia.com). Currently she works at the largest deaf-led social impact organization in the world, CSD (Communication Service for the Deaf). She holds a Master's degree in Deaf Education.
