Jazmin Kay is a voting rights activist and former Executive Director of 18by.vote, a non-partisan youth-led organization that aims to help young people understand how to vote, when to vote, and why to vote. She is now President and Board Chair of 18by.vote. She has appeared on The TODAY Show and Good Morning America discussing youth civic engagement and media. Jazmin’s writing has been published at HuffPost, MTV, Seventeen Magazine, VICE, i-D, Rookie Magazine, Teen Vogue, Fast Company, The Nation, The Obama White House Official Blog and the U.S. Department of State Blog. She is the former voting rights and civic engagement reporter at Generation Progress through the Center for American Progress.

Jazmin has served on nearly every level of government: she was one of the youngest White House interns for President Barack Obama and has worked for Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, and in local government. Jazmin graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science from The George Washington University where she was named the one of HerCampus.com's "22 Under 22 Most Inspiring College Women" for her work as a college activist and journalist. During her time at GW, Jazmin served as National Press Secretary for College Democrats of America where she represented the voices of 100,000 College Democrats and is the former President of GW College Democrats, the largest, most active chapter in the nation.
