Jane Shure, PhD, LCSW, is a psychotherapist, author, and public speaker, nationally recognized for her expertise in issues related to leadership development, building self-esteem, strengthening resilience to counteract shame and trauma, fortifying positive body image, and recovering from eating disorders.
She is on the faculty of the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health leading workshops on Calming Your Inner Critic & Quieting Your Anxious Mind. Dr. Shure is a seasoned trainer of health care and educational professionals on issues related to women and teens.
She is co-founder and co-author of a self-esteem building curriculum: Inside/Outside Self-Discovery Program for Teens: Strategies to Promote Resilience, Relationships, and Positive Body Image, co-editor of Effective Clinical Practice in the Treatment of Eating Disorders: The Heart of the Matter, and co-author of “Shame, Compassion and the Journey to Health” in the same volume.
