Gina’s career as a communication trainer is built on the belief that organizations and the world will reach their full potential only when women, LGBTQ, and people of color have influence on the discussion, not just a seat at the table.
Gina works with high performing individuals of all genders, titles, and cultural backgrounds. Gina specializes in one-on-one and small group trainings. Her clients include small business owners, junior to C-suite professionals in tech, finance, and construction including Google, Wells Fargo, Zurich North America, and minority vendors within BART and PG&E. Gina has trained over 1,000 Googlers around the world in Executive Presence, Overcoming Imposter Syndrome, Pitch and Presentation Skills, and has an average attendee rating of 4.67.
Gina is a Lecturer and Communications Coach at the Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB). Gina works with students on speaking up with confidence, imposter syndrome, pitch preparation, and managing without authority.
In the first 25 years of her career, Gina worked in B2B sales in a wide variety of industries, from automotive assembly to video game development. Gina has acted in television and film, did three national tours as a narrating engineer for RAM Truck Engines, launched her own clothing line for tall women, co-founded a mobile software design company, and won national and international awards in extemporaneous and persuasive speaking.
Gina’s expertise in the ways in which gender influences communication is rooted in her transsexual history. The need to understand how one’s body language, vocal patterns, and word choice affect the reactions of others is paramount to her personal and professional success. As she developed her career path, she began studying how generational and cultural differences added complexity and challenges to messaging choices.
Gina grew up in Macomb County-Detroit, has lived in South Carolina, Florida, Washington DC, and lives in San Francisco where she is President of the LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce (the GGBA). Gina is an American history and political buff, a bourbon devotee, and member of the National Speakers Association and Mensa.
