Padmini (Mini) Murthy, MD, Professor and Global Health Director at New York Medical College School of Health Sciences and Practice where she has been working to promote women’s health and human rights, social determinants of health and diplomacy, and promotion of global health, for the past 30 years. Dr. Murthy serves as Global Health leader for the American Medical Women’s Association and the NGO representative of AMWA to the United Nations. , and serves as chair of the International Health Section of the American Public Health Association.She is 1st VicePresident of the Global NGO Executive Committee which works closely with the Department of Global Communications at the United Nations. She has received numerous awards, has made over 150 presentations and published on various platforms including peer reviewed journals, authored book chapters and edited 2 books, Women's Global Health and Human Rights including the latest Technology & Global Public Health.
