Bio

Kathryn Coduto, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of media science in the College of Communication at Boston University. Her research focuses on the intersections of interpersonal communication, communication technologies (such as dating applications and social media), and privacy concerns related to technology. She also investigates compulsive internet use, especially as it relates to news consumption and interpersonal connections. She received her Ph.D. in communication from Ohio State University and a master's degree in mass communication from Kent State University. Her work has been featured in The Guardian, The Atlantic, and Mashable.
