Anne Laure Humbert, PhD, is a Reader (Associate Professor) in Gender and Diversity and Director of the Centre for Diversity Policy Research and Practice at Oxford Brookes University, UK. Previously, she was a Senior Research Fellow at the Global Centre for Gender and Leadership at Cranfield School of Management. She initially studied Mathematics and Statistics at the National University of Ireland Maynooth, followed by a Ph.D in Statistics, Gender and Entrepreneurship at Trinity College Dublin. She has been a Senior Lecturer at Middlesex University London and Visiting Scholar in several European universities.
She has done extensive work in the area of women and/or gender within the economy and society, with particular attention to work and organisations, entrepreneurship, and the integration of work and life. She is particularly interested in applying advanced quantitative methods to comparative social and economic analysis. She is very experienced in gender equality research at national and EU level, policy analysis and assessment and gender statistics. Anne is a regular public speaker on gender equality and she enjoys the opportunity to make connections between theory, practice and activism.
