Bio

Intellectual property and technology transactions attorney, focused on licenses, research collaborations between universities and industry, and technology transfer. After a decade of success in national and international law firms (Winthrop & Weinstine, Hogan Lovells, and Dorsey & Whitney) and former in-house counsel at National Public Radio, Inc., I founded McCurdy, LLC in 2021 to provide nimble, personalized service in intellectual property and technology transactions. Prior to attending law school at the University of Minnesota School of Law, I attended The George Washington University, where I investigated the monetization of art via a study of Edna St. Vincent Millay's use of the sonnet, and graduated with an Honors English degree. My clients come from a range of industries, from semiconductors to medical devices. I'm poised to speak or comment on news surrounding industry partnerships with universities or other members of industry, intellectual property or technology licenses or acquisitions, and life as a working mother and business owner.
