Bob Bland was one of the four National Co-Chairs of the 2017 Women's March on Washington. On January 21st, 2017, The Women's March on Washington was a historic, unapologetically women-led demonstration, with over 5 million marching worldwide and ushering in a mass resistance to the Trump administration. Bland now serves as Co-President of Women's March, a 501(c)4 nonprofit social and political advocacy organization, whose mission is to harness the political power of diverse women and their communities to create transformative social change.
In her capacity at Women's March, she has helped to organized 3 of the 4 largest mass mobilizations of the Trump era, elect a historic number of women into office during the 2018 Midterm elections, and bring intersectional feminism and the importance of white women's role in dismantling white supremacy into the mainstream public conversation. As a survivor of sexual assault + one of the lead organizers of the 34-day Senate protest of Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to SCOTUS in 2018, she advocates for fellow survivors of all genders, and the importance of believing their stories.
For her work on the Women‰Ûªs March, Bob is the recipient of numerous awards including Forbe‰Ûªs 50 World's Greatest Leaders, Time 100's Most Influential People and Glamour Magazine‰Ûªs Women of The Year. She has made numerous radio, TV and documentary appearances including CBS Evening News, The View, NBC Nightly News and SiriusXM. She has been featured in many books, including NYT's bestseller Together We Rise: Behind the Scenes at the Protest Heard Round the World.
