Anne F. Mattina is Professor & Chair of the Department of Communication at Stonehill College in Easton, MA. Her research and publications include analysis of Hillary Clinton’s communication and image as First Lady, Senator, Secretary of State and presidential candidate. Additional work includes mainstream media’s response to activism by First Ladies, most recently that of Michelle Obama; as well the influence of gender expectations on female candidates and the backlash against women political pundits on Twitter.
She holds a Masters in Political Communication and a PhD in Rhetoric with a concentration on Communication in the Public Interest, both from the Ohio State University.
