Angela U. Tucker, M.D. is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Family Medicine at The Ohio State University Medical Center. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she sees patients at Ohio State’s CarePoint East Family Medicine office.
Dr. Tucker has been has been quoted in Essence, Cosmopolitan, Capital Style, JetMag.com, and WebMD.com. She has worked with the “Tom Joyner Morning Show” with Get Well Wednesdays and annually worked the national hotline for Take a Loved One to the Doctor Day. She has been a guest expert on “Good Day Columbus” on the local Fox 28, interviewed for local NBC 4 and volunteered at multiple local health fairs.
Dr. Tucker is a founding member and executive board member of the Artemis Medical Society, a national organization for female physicians of color. She has worked with OSU and Disney’s “Doc McStuffins” show which stars an animated African American girl who heals her stuffed friends. With Disney, she has been able to help distribute materials to help inspire our local youth to become future physicians.
Dr. Tucker received her bachelor’s degree from OSU, doctorate of medicine from the University of Cincinnati, and completed her residency at Bethesda Family Practice. She is very involved at Resurrection Baptist Church and a lifetime member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. A native of London, Ohio, she is married to Alan D. Tucker. They are the parents of Mieliekk, Milasha, DuShaun, Donovan, and Desmond.
