Dr. Richardson has an M.S. from the University of Washington School of Medicine, a Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and is on faculty at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Recognizing the benefit of a personal and holistic approach to health, she completed additional training from Duke University’s Department of Integrative Medicine on Integrative Health Coaching and became certified as a Health and Wellness Coach (CHWC) through Wellcoaches®. As mindfulness and health of the body are also paramount to my approach, she completed training in yoga and am a registered instructor (RYT-200).
Her career has focused on assessing health behaviors and designing interventions to promote better health. She has over 50 peer-reviewed publications, has co-written six book chapters, and is a TEDMED 2015 Research Scholar. Her research has been covered by various news outlets including NBC, CBS, Reuters and the Washington Post. Additionally, she is a contributor to Huffington Post, Lifehack and other online magazines and an avid presenter of health and behavior change. Drawing on her diverse raining and background, she educates, coaches and develops tailored solutions to optimize health and wellness.
