Alyson Genovese currently serves as the Global Head of Corporate Responsibility for S&P Global, the world’s foremost provider of ratings, benchmarks and analytics in the global capital and commodity markets. In her role, Genovese leads the development, implementation and promotion of S&P’s global CR strategy and program management. She also oversees the development and execution of a broad-based, global stakeholder engagement strategy and directs the organization’s full complement of community programs. Genovese also leads S&P’s own ESG performance and reporting. Prior to joining S&P Global, Alyson Genovese served as the Director of North America for the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), an international independent organization that provides the world's global standards for sustainability reporting. Genovese worked with companies to help improve disclosure and transparency on the impact of their operations on critical sustainability issues such as climate change, human rights, corruption and many others. Additionally, Genovese led engagement with sustainability data users, such as nonprofits, academic institutions, investment organizations and regulators to help ensure that sustainability data is understood, accessible and useful. With more than 20 years experience in the corporate, consulting and nonprofit sectors, Alyson has deep experience in ESG, sustainability, corporate responsibility, stakeholder engagement, citizenship and strategic communications and a unique understanding of how companies implement ESG strategies internally and communicate impacts externally, as well as how stakeholders use this information to make better informed decisions.
